Service Technician / Salesman

The Role

As a Service Technician at Golden Plumbing, you are the face of our company in our customers' homes. You are a revenue producer first and a technician second. You diagnose plumbing issues, educate homeowners, present tiered repair and replacement options, and deliver the Golden Standard of service on every call. Your success is measured by customer satisfaction, close rate, average ticket, and the reviews you earn.

What You'll Do

• Follow the 8-Step Golden Service System on every call without exception
• Contact the customer 30 minutes before arrival to set expectations
• Perform thorough plumbing assessments and diagnose issues accurately
• Present tiered options (Golden, Silver, Bronze) and explain each clearly
• Complete comprehensive checklist inspections on every visit
• Document all work with photos, notes, and accurate invoicing in ServiceTitan
• Collect payment and request a Google review on every completed job
• Follow up with customers within 7 days of service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked truck at all times
• Manage materials used on jobs through purchase orders and follow the inventory system
• Use company-provided filming equipment to record each job site and job when applicable
• Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions
• Mentor apprentices and helpers assigned to ride along

How We Measure Success

Career Path

Junior Service Tech (18% commission) → Senior (20%) → Field Supervisor (22%). Auto-promotion when 12-month trailing metrics hit promotion targets. Field Supervisor tier ATV $3,000+ with up to 24% effective rate (with accelerators). Top techs earn $200K+. Active Kentucky Journeyman Plumber license required at all tiers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics, under sinks)
• Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Work in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
