Install Technician

As an Install Technician at Golden Plumbing, you are the craftsman behind our larger projects — repipes, water heater installations, fixture replacements, and drain line work. Your focus is precision, quality, and completing every job on schedule with zero callbacks. You take pride in doing things right the first time.
What You'll Do
- Execute plumbing installations per specifications and local code requirements
- Review scope of work with the customer before beginning each job
- Use drop cloths and shoe covers to protect the customer's home at all times
- Document all work with before, during, and after photos
- Perform quality checks on completed work before leaving the job site
- Walk the customer through all completed work and answer questions
- Clean up work area completely — leave it better than you found it
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Coordinate with service techs on project hand-offs
- Manage materials used on jobs through purchase orders and follow the inventory system
- Use company-provided filming equipment to record each job site and job when applicable
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements

Career Path
Junior Installer ($30/hr · 0.5× efficiency multiplier · 10% upsell) → Senior ($34/hr · 0.75× · 12.5%) → Field Supervisor ($37.50/hr · 1.0× · 15%). Auto-promotion when 12-month trailing metrics hit promotion targets. Field Supervisors on the install path earn $90K+. Active Kentucky Journeyman Plumber license required at all tiers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs
- Work in crawl spaces, attics, and trenches
- Operate hand and power tools for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
