As an Apprentice at Golden Plumbing, you are building the foundation of a plumbing career. You will assist senior technicians, learn the trade hands-on, and absorb the Golden Plumbing culture from day one. We hire apprentices for attitude and train for skill — your work ethic, coachability, and reliability are what matter most.
What You'll Do
- Assist lead technicians on service calls and installations
- Set up and clean up job sites before and after every job
- Stock trucks with materials and manage inventory runs
- Learn basic plumbing skills under supervision
- Practice the 8-Step Golden Service System customer interaction basics
- Take notes and ask questions during ride-alongs
- Complete all assigned training modules and quizzes
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times
- Learn to manage materials through purchase orders and the inventory system
- Assist with using company-provided filming equipment to record job sites when applicable
- Be ready and available — show up early, stay until the work is done

Career Path
Apprentice Tier 1 ($16/hr) → Tier 2 ($18/hr) → Tier 3 ($20/hr) → Tier 4 ($22/hr) → Graduation as Junior Service Tech OR Junior Installer. Graduation requires 8,000 supervised hours, all training tests passed, and an active Kentucky Journeyman Plumber license (we fund it). Tier 4 is the bridge year where you run real (supervised) calls or installs and the data picks your path.
